This post is for the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge, the theme for this week is “Liquid”share a photo of liquid in whatever state, shape, or color you happen to capture it in. You can go as big as the ocean or as small as a teardrop, as clear as vodka or as opaque as milk.
Here is mine, I love the reflection of the water and the lighting in this Japanese pond enlivened by the beautiful and colorful Koi fishes. I took this photo awhile ago and it also inspired me to create one of my watercolor paintings with the title “Girl With Koi” available as Limited Edition Signed Print on my Etsy Shop.
Today weekly photo challenge for The Daily Post theme is ““I’d Rather Be…” and my answer is Creating!
I love to create my art and express my creativity in many different ways, I am a full-time artist and I love what I do. For me there is not much of “I’d rather be” because I try to create art every day! I am a watercolor painter, an illustrator and jewelry designer, I love photography and digital photo manipulations. I also like to write poems, haiku and short stories.
Day #15: Witch _ Mysterious

I love to create photo manipulations and I have created a Collection titled “When Nature Meets Humans” this Portrait title is “Proud” I like the Concept to mix Nature with Humans and create a unique One of a kind Digital Portraits. This is my evolving idea and concept to combining the beauty of Nature with Humans telling a story in the form of Visual-Art, combining and blending a number of different photos in one unique portrait. Each photo has a meaning that tell the Portrait story. You can see more of this collection here and in this Gallery.
Nature is my biggest inspiration in everything I create…
Rose Quartz Dome Ring
I also love to create jewelry for my “Among Nature” Jewelry Collection.
The nature is my greatest inspiration for my Jewelry Designs. I often use found in nature objects hand-picked by me in special places I visit. All my creations are made using only beautiful natural gemstones, seashells, fossils, woods, bone and crystals which I combine with precious and semi precious metals.
Weekly Photo Challenge! The Daily Post
The theme for this week it is beautiful and inspiring and is “Story” We all can be story tellers in many ways, as an artist I love to tell stories creating my watercolor paintings or through my designs, jewelry creations and photography.
This week “Memories From The Ocean” is the theme of my Story!
The ocean it is a wonderful place where I love to be, often I am lucky to find beautiful nature pieces to use for my Jewelry designs.
Today I am going to share one of my jewelry design and unique creation.
“Memories from the Ocean” Necklace
This beautiful one of a kind necklace is part of a new concept I am launching here.
This concept is about creating unique Keepsake Memories Jewelry with found objects.
I love bringing to life unique jewels created with objects found in our precious nature.
Beautiful Finds
For this necklace I used beautiful founds from the Ocean. Drift wood, fossil seashells, red coral. Pieces of seashells smoothed and shaped from years and years of ocean’s erosion. The uniquely shaped piece of driftwood, was, what inspired me to make this statement necklace right at the moment I found it on a beautiful California beach. I left the wood natural just like I found it, I didn’t want to add any oil or wax because the wind and waves did their beautiful work of natural art.
Whenever I go, I am always looking out for interesting pieces of nature, treasures to keepsake and add to my collection and use them later for my art and creations. This way every design it is One of a Kind and has his own story behind it and I love that!
For this necklace I used Copper wire left natural and not oxidized, so that the time will create the natural patina on it. I have created three hanging pendants with pieces of natural gemstones, Red Coral, Amazonite and Agate, three faceted Crystals, yellow Citrine, Smoky and Clear, a Fossil Seashell piece with a natural hole and an Abalone piece. This combination of pieces is beautiful and the gemstones colors perfectly remind the ocean water. I wrapped the copper wire to the driftwood following the natural curves and holding the pendants. A tan color flat suede adjustable leather cord is the finishing touch for this unique necklace.
All my Jewelry Designs are single pieces created to have a life and standing on their own beautifully in their unique and unexpected combination of natural elements. My work is made as Custom Order can be purchased and Ordered here on this Blog or if is listed on my Etsy Shop.
I also accept custom orders creating a “Keepsake Memories Jewelry” a design piece with your own special memories or found objects in nature, or not I can create your own story. If you are interested in a special piece don’t hesitate to Contact me.
It is a long time since I have participated to the weekly photo challenge. The Daily Post theme for this week it is very interesting and inspiring and is “Out Of This World”.This week, share a picture that takes us on a journey into the unknown.
As an artist I feel that I am very often out of this world, while working on my watercolor paintings, creating my art. Inspiration and creativity can take you in many places where imagination rules into the unknown. I enjoy the journey following my dreams and looking forward to see where they will take me.
The photo I am sharing today for this challenge, is another gorgeous Southern California sunset. I took this photo days ago during an evening hike. The colors of this sunset were spectacular and I haven’t touched or edited this photo, no filter has been used, it is just as I took it!
When shooting this photo, I really wanted to capture something different and unusual. I love to experiment and take photos in different and unexpected angle, using the camera in strange and unusual positions. When I went home, l have been looking at all the photos I took that day, this one stood out to me for the beautiful intense colors, the contrast with the dark, the layers of clouds in the sky forming straight lines at the horizon. My angle shooting position created this high contrast and a diagonal effect between the orange sky and the dark land. Transforming a familiar sunset in something different. When I look at the photo from distance make me think an imaginary sunset from another planet! Try to step away from your chair and look at the photo from distance, what do you see? I am really curious to know, please leave comments!
Today I came across the post of the weekly photo challenge at The Daily Postand also if this is the theme for last Wednesday April 19 and tomorrow would be a new theme, I still want to participate to this one, with one of my latest photo and share the beauty of nature with you all.
From The Daily Post: The theme for this week is “Earth” celebrating the Earth Day and our planet. This week, share an image that means “earth” to you — whether it’s a panorama of a landscape that takes your breath away, a close-up revealing a detail in nature, or another scene that honors the outdoors, we welcome your takes on the theme!
The photo I am sharing today is a beautiful Southern California sunset filled with lovely yellow flowers. I took this photo some days ago during my daily evening hike. I love my walk at sunset time it give me the opportunity to take beautiful photos of sunsets and fierce colored skies. California is a wonderful place for sunset photography no matter where you are if on the hills or near the ocean. This photo was taken on the hills of a trail I love to go. The nature here is beautiful lately especially after all the rain we had a month ago, everything turned out beautifully green a joy for the eyes since here often the hills looks yellow brownish and dry.
I enjoyed my walk a lot lately with these beautiful kind of evenings, but this week is already getting too warm and everything is already changing color.
When I took this photo, I really wanted to capture all the elements that makes our earth beautiful, the orange fierce sunset sky, the clouds, the land and the flowers. I almost felt I was creating one of my paintings, I had a clear idea of how I wanted the photo to be. To get this angle for my shot I had to almost laying on the ground! Turned out exactly what I’ve envisioned! I hope that you enjoy this portrait of nature as symbol of our precious Earth as much as I do.
Today I came across to The Daily Post “Weekly Photo Challenge” the theme of this week is interesting and inspiring “Cherry On Top!” I am supposed to share a detail that makes a good thing even better.
To participate I will share some of my photos!
This week the Photo Challenge at The Daily Post is “Look Up” it’s all about spending some time during your day to look up and see what there is above you!
On the Daily Post I found these words to be very true in our busy daily life “Going about our day, we often don’t pay attention to what’s directly above us. We’re more likely to focus on what’s in front of us rather than what’s overhead”.
I am an artist and I love to look at the sky, the movement of the clouds, the changing lights and amazing colors during the day until the sunset. If you paint then you know that you will never look at the sky the same way you did before. During my day I always spend few minutes looking up! I find it to be very calming and I get great inspirations for my paintings and photography!
My Photo was taken during a hike and at sunset I was overwhelmed from such beauty all over above me!
