Tears In The Fire

Tears In The Fire – Watercolor ©Carolina Russo

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a great start of the year!
I know lately I have been pretty quiet and didn’t post here on the Blog as much I’d like to. I took a break to recharge my creativity.  I didn’t know how to feel in this beginning of the year, there is so much going on in the world.

Today post is about the release of my new watercolor painting with the title Tears In The Fire this is my first painting of the 2020 and it is very special to me.
I feel so much sadness for the heartbreaking situation affecting Australia from months under the catastrophic wildfires that is destroying, animals, wildlife, natural habitats, and people.  Sidney University experts estimated that over 1 billion of animals has tragically perished it’s heartbreaking!

I gave the title Tears In The Fire because I can only imagine how much, tears, pain and suffering these beautiful animals are going through. My painting is dedicated to the wonderful Koalas 🐨 and to all the rescuers that are helping and caring daily for them to heal painful burnt paws and injuries and to all the other animals in desperate need of care surviving this horrific fire.

I hope that my painting can rise awareness and give a tiny contribution to support Koalas and wildlife victims in this terrible time for them. I love all the animals and now they needs our help, together we can make a little difference in their recovery. Since I was a child I dream to one day being able to hold a lovely Koala in my arms! I hope I will one day! ♥️

Prints of my painting are now available for purchase as Open Edition signed and hand enhanced please visit my >>  ETSY Shop

Fundraiser for Australia Koalas Rescue Bushfire relief I will donate 70% of the proceeds from the sale of this print! (The 30% left would be for supplies to make the prints I wont make any profit!).

🖤 DONATIONS WILL GO TO:
I have decided to split the 70% between two great not for profit organizations they are doing an amazing job to save Koalas and wildlife animals and will continue to do so.
🖤 50% goes to Port Stephens Koalas   NSW – Australia
🖤 20% goes to WIRES Wildlife Rescue

NOTE: Each print is “Hand Enhanced” with inks is like a semi original you don’t receive just a normal print but it has my hand work on it!
Print is signed and printed one by one in studio by me on a beautiful paper, and looks great framed, the one in the photo below is mine I had to have it on my wall!
Prints are unframed but ready for you to add one.

Thank you in advance to anyone that decide to purchase this print your support for the cause is precious. I need your help or I can’t do this by myself! 🖤

New Release! Watercolor Painting “Love”

Love – Watercolor Painting by ©CarolinaRusso

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Today post is to release my new watercolor painting!  The title of my painting  is “Love” I was inspired to paint it a couple of days ago, thinking at a celebration of universal love not just at what is the commercial “Valentine’s Day” but thinking at something more deep and profound than that.

Time ago I wrote a quote that say:

Love is the light at the center of everything”  – © CR

This quote is what really inspired my painting, I hope that you all like it and and that you know inside your soul what love is.

This painting was previously posted yesterday on my Instagram account and was Featured by Untwine.Australia

Doodlewash and watercolor sketch by Carolina Russo of Chocolate Mint Mousse for National Chocolate Mousse DayHello everyone! I am Carolina Russo from Southern California (follow me on my Blog, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest!). I am very excited and happy to be a Guest Doodlewasher! This blog is fantastic! I admire Charlie’s creativity and his doodlewashes are beautiful and inspiring. I am so proud to be able to say that I am one of the featured on Doodlewash. Thank you Charlie for having me here.

I was born and raised in Italy, the beautiful country where I have been surrounded by Italian art, creativity, history, Mediterranean traditions and European influences. My father is an artist and I grew up observing and being amazed by his oil paintings. I knew since I was a child that I wanted to be an artist. I enjoyed drawing, coloring and creating things since a very early age.

Blogger Girls1 copy(Photo In order from left: Corinne, Me, Ms. Erika Kind and Marissa)

To Find Ms. Kind

It started out a day just like any other day
Blue skies, pleasant temperatures, typical L.A.
But this Friday was special as I was psyched to be
Meeting soon at Starbucks, a group of bloggers 3.

For a wholesome day of fun, coffee, gossip, laughter
With Erika Kind, Corinneonline, Carolina at Yesterday After
All the women were so sweet starting off you see
But I don’t remember much after sipping my coffee…

And the next thing you know, well, the scene was quite outrageous
My head was pounding as I woke in a hotel in Vegas
Corinne was sprawled out on the couch and starting to come round
Carolina on the floor, Ms. Kind was nowhere found

Strange clothing strewn across the floor, emptied bottles of booze
A gap where I once had a tooth, Corinne had new tattoos
And in the other rooms we found a tiger and a baby
Plus little Wayne, Wayne Newton and of course, Wayne Brady

But as for Erika,we’d no idea what we should do
‘Til looking out the window, we came cross our fist clue
For what did we see flying high as we were sitting there
Hanging from a monument, Erika’s underwear

And then we all did realize it was our mission then to find
Erika in time to get her back to Lichtenstein
And we would do all that we thought we could do in our power
To get her on that flight which was to leave in just 10 hours

Our mission was before us, and it was do or die
We pondered perhaps she was kidnapped by some Asian guy
But despite our best efforts there was no way to retrieve her
So we asked Mike Tyson but he hadn’t seen her either

Time was getting closer and still we had no luck
We’d have to call her family and say disaster struck
And just as we were bout to put the phone up to our ears
We heard Erika’s voice she said “Hello ladies I’m here”

We looked in disbelief sure her image holographic
But she said “It’s really me, I just got caught in L.A. traffic!”
And we said “Oh gosh you drove here? well you really are insane
At 6PM on Friday you should have just got on a plane!”

And so it seemed that Erika would safely make it home
And the rest revealed itself inside Corinne’s iPhone
With pictures so embarrassing we all squirmed in our seat
And with no time to spare we all just quickly hit delete

And no one will find out what went on, that we all did swear
Or what the heck was up with Erika’s flying underwear
And the only picture that we all agreed to show
Is the one that I am posting right here down below

Just four normal bloggers who you see are looking awfully
Happy when they thought that they should all meet one day for coffee

Blogger Girls

Now I hope that you all still laughing and had fun reading and travelling through Marissa creativity!
