Day 3: COLLECT
Ylia love to be free in the nature of this Earth. She is inspired, amused and amazed by the oceans and seas, she feel in her element walking on the shore in every season listening the beautiful sound of the breaking weaves and breathing the restoring air. She collect seashells and listen to their stories of millions of years.
Today I am late to post Day 3 I wasn’t at home. I was able to finish my drawing on time earlier just unable to post it and also if right now is late at night I post it anyway. I enjoyed very much to create Day 3 “Collect” another creative image for my character Ylia and because I love seashells! I hope that you like it too I will post Day #4 later on today! This challenge is amazing I have read from Jake Parker Instagram that there is a great response more that 200,000 of artists are posting every day! I am happy and proud to be part of this ❤

Today is my 14 years Anniversary here in USA
I just wanted to share this with my friends and because today it is also my Blog Anniversary on WordPress!
Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!
You registered on WordPress.com 4 years ago!
Thanks for flying with us.
Keep up the good blogging!
After I signed up on WP I had my Blog active but silent for about more than 2 years.F I have been without writing or posting anything but working behind the scenes!
First I wanted to reserve my domain name yesterdayafter.com since I love it a lot!
At the same time I was working on launching my Jewelry Design Collections, my Paintings, Digital Art, Poetry and all my creative work.
I was only working on the graphics and designs to customize the theme and layout of this Blog reflecting my own creativity. I wanted to launch it as soon I was ready, but no word was ever posted. Some life events also slowed down the process. Then only on March 2015, I decided to jump in and I made a very small first post announcing the opening of my Etsy Shop.
I felt like I was a tiny drop into the ocean of the Blogosphere, almost impossible to be seen in between the millions of other Blogs, I felt so little but I kept going!
And you great people started to discover my Blog! I was posting once in a while my Jewelry and Artworks and I got very nice feedback! As Artist I express my Art and creativity in different ways, my posts are not always about the same subject. I work with different media and my followers showed appreciation and love for my talents. I actually like the variety between all the things I love! I like to surprise you with the unexpected.
“A Tip” that I can give to new Bloggers that feel a bit lonely and in need of friends and followers is to be active!
When I started, after a month that I got to see how it was blogging, I decided to go around leaving comments on other Blogs, and not just stay here reading. I let people know how much I loved their work and they responded to me beautifully with kindred words and they discovered my Blog and Art and started to follow recognizing me with Awards. I felt very honored for such a beautiful recognitions. Right now I have become an “Award Free” Blog but I am always honored from your nominations and I will post your link in the Awards Page!
In May 2015 I also created my own Award to pass on “The Starlight Blogger Award” I launched this Award to highlight and Promote Inspiring Bloggers and I am so happy that the Award is going all over around the world! I see lots of Bloggers that link to me using this Award!
Last year I decided that I wanted to do something to give back to this beautiful Community and help to bring Blogs together I started my weekly Meet and Greet Event this year is named Meet and Greet Fridays! And Every month I choose to Feature one Blogger and Blog that I admire and I am Inspired from, introducing them to inspire others.
I felt very welcome here I discovered amazing Blogs and Bloggers that are beautiful friends and I also had the opportunity to meet some in person!
I also found an amazing Community of Artists that is very supportive and inspiring!
I am stunned and amazed about the fast growth it’s fascinating!
…..THANK YOU to ALL…..
each one of you made this happen leaving your comments and love!
I am very happy because our strength together is very powerful and encouraging to keep going I am so grateful for you!
Stay connected and support each other good things will come and never stop dreaming!

This post is for two days Day #26/31 of the World Watercolor Month Today painting is a Study of a Seahorse. I painted the same seahorse on two different papers one is on white paper with light washes of colors and outlined with a brown ink pen. The result is a delicate and ethereal Seahorse.
Day #27/31 Today to do something different for my study, I painted the same seahorse on a black paper. First I painted some of the background with rich pigmented colors. The effect change dramatically. This time after the background was dry I draw the seahorse with a white gel pen. And I really like how it looks!

Lack of time today I am going to share this older post about my jewelry designs. I wrote this post last November when I was lucky to meet in person some amazing Bloggers friends! ❤
– Point Dume –
Point Dume is a promontory on the coast of Malibu, California that juts out into the Pacific Ocean. The point, a long bluff, forms the northern end of the Santa Monica Bay. Wikipedia
Fossil Seashell Fragment found at Point Dume
I designed this necklace for my friend blogger and published author Erika Kind as token of our friendship. If you followed our recent posts you know that we met (read my post) in person last November here in California it was a great experience. Each piece of Jewelry I design has a story behind it. This one symbolize the beginning of our friendship relate to one of our first conversations that we had when we met, and it was about how much Erika love California, the Ocean and the Beach she said that she love “Point Dume” which happen to be a wonderful place in Malibu where I go often and I love to take beautiful photos like this one of the beach where Point Dume promontory is. This is one of the places where I find precious natural elements like fragments of fossil seashells, stones, driftwood all elements gifted from nature that I treasure and collect for my unique jewelry designs.
Fossil seashells Fragments, Driftwood
The necklace created for Erika has all the elements to symbolize what she love, it represent the Ocean with the natural beauty of a fragment of a Fossil Seashell, a Pearl and her favorite Turquoise stone, the blue color of the stone symbolize the sky and the ocean water, all the elements are wired together creating a keepsake memories pendant with an adjustable leather cord. This is an example of the concept I work with, to create one of a kind Jewelry. I am very happy that Erika love the necklace very much at the point that when I gave to her she got emotional, that was my greatest gift to see the reaction she had it means I made it through her heart giving her happiness and joy…this is one of the reason why I love my work!
It is very nice to see Erika wearing this necklace knowing that she will treasure it!
I also created for this meet up occasion some new stackable bracelets, the kind that more you have the better!
I created one for Marissa, one for Corinne and a new one for Me!
This one was created for Corinne made with natural Blue Quartz and Yellow Citrine Crystal.
Corinne has already a necklace that I previously made for her and this bracelet is a matching!
The Pink Quartz bracelet was created for Marissa made with natural Rose Quartz and smoky Crystals.
Rose Quartz is also known as the “Love Stone” and emit positive and protective energy.
I didn’t know Marissa too well, I wasn’t sure about her taste but she loved it!
This Bracelet was created for Me with a shaped Turquoise stone, Pearls and smoky crystals.
I hope that you enjoyed to read all the details behind the scene about what inspired me
to create this special Jewelry honoring our Friendship.

sorry I haven’t been posting as usual! There is a reason why and I will tell you all about it!
I just want to give you an update of what’s going on during my early 2016. In my last “Post of the 2015” I wrote that I got sick with the Flu, that wasn’t a nice ending of the year, but I got over the Flu very well taking care of me with rest, warm, lots of tea and a great natural recipe made out of “Turmeric and Raw Honey” this magic natural antibiotic did wander for me. I should make a post about it sometimes! 🙂 I also like to thank all of you that left me beautiful and lovely comments to get well soon! Thank you!
Anyway the reason why I am not posting as usual and during the past days I did some reblogs, is because my nearly two years old HP Pavilion Laptop decided to go to sleep and never woke up!!!
Can you imagine how frustrating this can be? All my digital work and data are on it!!!! 😦
I had to use my Kindle Fire to check my Blog, emails etc… and with a Kindle isn’t easy to type long posts, but I am grateful that I have been able at least to read and reply to your nice comments, my apologies if I missed someone.
I am pretty good with computers and I did try any advice and suggestions I found online to wake up my laptop. Actually it did woke up 3 times, but after last time seems there is no way for everything I did try. This type of fail seems to happen very often with laptops of all kinds of brands in fact this is the second laptop I own that fail, my first one was from another brand and it lasted five years and same thing happened.
I have to say that I am disappointed this time because I don’t think that a nice laptop from a great brand like HP has to have such a short life less than 2 years! I still hope that there is a way to fix it.
Right now I had no options than get a new computer, which is great of course, this time is not longer a laptop but a great desktop! It wasn’t planned at all for me to buy a new one but I need it for my work and my livelihood. I am sure something great will come out of all this wish me well! 😉
For the end of the next week I will have my new set up and I can go back to my work and new posts!
Also for who wander about my weekly “Fridays Meet and Greet Event” and the “Feature Event on Saturdays” will go back on soon stay tuned because I will choose new Blogs to Feature, stay connected!!! ❤
One last thing Thank You so much to all the recent “Follow” that I received I am full of appreciation!
I did Follow back everyone I could and I will check back your Blogs! Stay connected.
Have a wonderful 2016 together we can keep walking doing great things…
Wish you a wonderful day or night!
