My Interview with Author and Poet SYLVESTER L. ANDERSON
Today I am very happy that I can finally share my New Interview!
I like to introduce you with my dear friend and long time follower of my Art and Blog my special guest is Author and Poet Sylvester L. Anderson also known in our Community Aka “Syl” the name of his Syl65’s Blog I am really honored that he accepted to do this interview with me. Syl is a great soul and inspiring Author he writes beautiful poems, his flowing words are encouraging, motivating and filled with strength and positive energy. For some mysterious reasons it happens to read them just when you need them in your heart. Syl post daily on his Blog his poetry, haiku, quotes and inspiring music he introduce his Blog with these words and verses….
“Poetry, creative writing and a desire to inspire…..Isaiah 40: 31 But they who wait upon the Lord will get new strength. They will rise up with wings like eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not become weak…”
I wanted to illustrate our interview with a mystical, ethereal and powerful image as Syl creative writings are. I think that my Digital Artwork “Angels” that you see above is just right because I see Syl like the encouraging and supportive Angel in our Blog’s community. Since the day he started to follow my art and blog years ago, he is always there leaving encouraging and beautiful heartfelt comments which I appreciate very much.
Right now here are my questions, let’s get to know Syl better let’s get started! Enjoy the interview….
1. For who doesn’t know you and your Blog, can you please introduce who Syl is?
First, thank you Carolina for having me on your blog. I have always appreciated your art and creativity. Now, who is Syl? I am a poet, blogger and author trying to inspire and help others see that they do matter in this life. Aside from writing, I enjoy music (a part of my blog), movies and I’m always open to learning.
2. When did you discover your talent and love for writing?
I would say at an early age. I use to sing out these little rhymes I had made up and my very first poem was a mother’s day poem (to my mom of course). I was very shy growing up so writing was my way to express what was going on inside of me, especially in my high school years. For as long as I can remember I have been writing, whether it was extra little notes in birthday cards, writing down my thoughts, or poetry.
3. You have a beautiful way to create your poetry expressing your words giving beautiful messages, there is a superior presence in your poetry and you often mention God? How much he inspire and influence your creative writings?
Thank you for your words. I will say that I am a born again Christian. I have no denomination, I follow Christ and He is the center of everything I do. I believe I was blessed with a gift to write and I want to use my gift to inspire others. I want to share what God does for me on a daily basis and that is love me unconditionally. I am so very happy that it comes through in my poetry. That right there is my central purpose and also to entertain. If you can smile after one of my poems, then it’s all good.
4. Can you describe your writing process? Do you plan your writings or do you write whenever words come to you?
My writing process is simple. I think the only time I plan my writings is when I am doing my Monday Thought post or when I am working on a book. I do a lot of spontaneous, whatever pops into my head writing. When the inspirational spark hits I get to writing. Sometimes the words come like a flood, line after line, or I am writing down one line and see what comes from it. Also, I find photos to go with my poetry and many times I choose the photo first and write about what I see in it. The most important part of my writing process is not forcing anything. If it’s not there I don’t write. I write because I enjoy it, not because I feel I have to.
5. You published several Poetry Collections can you tell us about it? And where we can find them?
I have published four print books and two eBooks, all self-published. I will list them in order and where you can find them.
Life through Celestial Lenses – Amazon (print and eBook)
The Darkness, The Light and The Glory – Amazon (eBook available at smashwords)
Heartspeak, God and Love – Amazon (print and eBook)
Soul Embers – Amazon (print and eBook)
33 In The Name of Jesus – smashwords (eBook)
The Sevens – smashwords (eBook)
6. What suggestion or advice can you give to someone who wants publish their poetry for the first time?
Poetry is expression, so write what you love, be authentic and be original. Amazon Publishing Services offers free publishing tools and guides to help you get published. You will be doing the work yourself as far as formatting and editing but it is worth it if you are looking to publish your poetry. Winning Writers is a website where you can find legitimate poetry/literary contest (also a great way to get your poetry published). You can also look for poet/poetry forums or writing communities. No matter what your goal is, do your research and don’t give up.
7. What is your creative Dream Project?
Wow, that’s a great question! I would like to do some type of visual/spoken word videos and take my poetry to another level. Another dream project is to do some spoken word in whatever audio format and I definitely do not mean me reading some poetry in this robotic tone, but something with some oomph to it. I don’t think we should put limitations on our creativity. Also, I am open to doing collaborative projects with any of my fellow creatives out there.
8. I love to ask this question to everyone I interview because is personal and introspective, If you describe or picture your inner soul how will you describe it? And what color would it be?
I picture my inner soul as an observer, standing in the background, taking notes about what is going in and around me. My favorite color is black but I believe my inner soul would be blue. Blue has a calming, tranquil affect and I hope that I bring that type of peace and calm with my everyday presence. Another thing about the color blue is that when you look up and see a clear blue sky it looks never-ending, limitless. I believe we shouldn’t put a cap on our dreams or goals, not limit ourselves.
9. This is my last question you are one of my long time followers and I can call you my friend I know by now that you like my art and I like to ask you what do you like about my Art? What do you see in my paintings?
I believe when I first started following you, you were doing these digital portraits and I was blown away immediately. Your art is so original has such a distinctive, vintage look and quality about it which I can say is your signature style. What do I see in your paintings? I get a sense of hope, especially within the eyes of your characters. There is this good vibe flowing beneath what you put on canvas. Lastly, I see you, maybe it your facial features that show up but I see you. You are your art.
Thank you so very much for this interview, Carolina, and for having me on your blog. It was fun and very much appreciated.
In conclusion of this Interview….
I am leaving you with one of Syl latest Haiku – The Stars Are Speaking Again

The stars are scattered just right
Speaking their language
Clasping your hand much tighter

My interview with Musician Composer and Independent Artist: Viktor Norðir
Today I am very excited and happy to introduce you with my special guest for this interesting interview. My dear friend musician Viktor Norðir from Germany. Viktor is also the founder, song writer, vocals and guitar of band RIGNA FOLK and has a Solo Project as Norðir.
RIGNA FOLK Band members:
Viktor Nordir (vocals, guitar)
Jens sounds (guitar, synth)
Vladimir Müller (drums)
Chriss Fakler (bass, vocals, synth)
I like this band very much, they produce some great alternative music. If you’re following my Blog for a while you had the opportunity to read about them other times. Recently I had a collaboration with Viktor creating a short video, featuring a combination of his Music with my Art. I love to collaborate with other artists it is a great way for me to create and experiment new creative ways of visualization with my art in combination with others, you can see the video here “Stillness” Art And Music together can create magic!
We had a great collaboration that led us to a beautiful friendship and I am sure more artistic projects to come in the future!
NEW Release! My Digital Art Portrait
Today I am celebrating also a “New Release” of my latest Digital Art Portrait, it is part of my Project “ART FOR MUSIC “ and for my Concept Collection “When Nature Meets Humans” the artistic portrait that you see featured as the opening image of this post is my new digital creation. This artwork is dedicated and inspired by Viktor Norðir, there couldn’t be a better day to release it than today!
I am very thankful that Viktor kindly accepted to do this interview, I am happy to introduce you with his world of wonderful music and creativity. It is very interesting to get to know who behind the music. If you don’t know Viktor Norðir and his band yet, this is a great opportunity to discover a multi talented very inspiring Artist that plays multiple instruments, has a beautiful unique voice that he can tune in different ways, has an experimental open mind a kind heart and an intriguing soul.
Viktor in his solo project goes by the name “Norðir” on September 21st, 2018 he released a new Song and Video “No Hell No” which is the first single of his new project.
Thank you so much Viktor for accepting this interview, I wish you great success for the new song, video and for all your music projects coming in the future.
I am very excited for your answers to my questions, let’s get started!
Here there are my questions:
“Viktor Norðir” is my artist name, I grew up in Siberia and am currently living in Germany in the City of Ulm. I love to reflect on the contradictions of life and learn from every experience I make. I want to share those in my music. So when I write lyrics in English, German and Russian, I reflect on paradoxical topics from different perspectives and want to question one’s believes and encourages to embrace new pathways in life.
My parents confirmed my early memory, of having an enthusiasm for the voices of the singers like Phil Collins and Freddy Mercury and my approaches to sing those Genesis and Queen Songs by myself loudly. As you can imagine, our neighbors did not share my enthusiasm, but I was having a blast!
Thank you for your kind words! The idea, just to be myself in my arts and to express all of my thoughts, just inspired me to start my solo project in may of 2018. For some topics, I felt, a different Language felt more natural. So I developed this trilingual concept, which totally enables me to experiment and grow musically and lyrically. In the band Rigna Folk, we have a storytelling concept and it’s a different way of working on songs, it’s a whole unique experience and it’s precious to me. I want this to be a part of my life.
My music internalize paradoxes as well as my lyrics, playing with catchy and experimental elements, pending between indie pop tunes and dreamy electronic-psychedelic landscapes. I am totally inspired by moods and nature. in contrast, I am also inspired by lost places, abandoned cities, industrial architecture and the steampunk and goth genre! In my solo project, I love to focus on unique songs and develops them till they are finished. I am working with feedback by my bandmates, my fans and friends during the process, and like mo make refinements on my songs. In general, my aim is to keep the process open, so the end product has a history on its own.
The lyrics of “No Hell No“ reflect on the topics xenophobia and national identity. This as a current topic in Germany right now. I was facing some kind of hatred in my first years in German school. Interestingly, it was not the case in the very beginning when I started to make friends, but later, when their parents got involved when I visited my friends in their homes. As I am thinking, this speaks for a conceptualized kind of artificial hatred based on shaped believes. I think, when you are self-aware, you will never choose the path of hatred. Just Released! I have organized my first Solo Tour with “Norðir” and there is also one Concert with my band Rigna Folk here there are some dates in Germany: TOUR 2018 /2019 :
28.09. DE-Aalen / Frapé 30.09. CH-Baden / Club Joy Grand Casino 02.10. DE-München / Lost Weekend 05.10. DE-Kirchheim / ClubBastion (with Rigna Folk) 09.10. DE-Schwäbisch Gmünd / Leuchtturm 16.11. DE-Ulm / Studentencafe 14.11. DE-Esslingen / 4-Peh 27.11. DE-Göppingen / Radiobühne Weltweit 11.12. DE-Stuttgart / Rosenau 12.12. DE-Tübingen / Sudhaus 18.12. DE-Waiblingen / Kulturhaus Schwanen 26.01. CH-Zürich / Big Ben Westside 06.03. DE-Asperg / Glasperlenspiel
At the moment, I want to find additional independent musicians for my solo project. I want to work with different artists and to exchange our skills and to learn. Also, I am fascinated by combining music with visual arts, as we did in our “Stillness” project!
During the last 2 years, I am working on my awareness and am discovering the fact, that my conceptualized ego was the main driving force behind my decisions and shaped a major part of my life. The more I get into reflecting, the more I feel happier, fulfilled and peaceful.
I loved our project Carolina! I really loved your questions, thank you so much! 🙂

Today weekly photo challenge for The Daily Post theme is ““I’d Rather Be…” and my answer is Creating!
I love to create my art and express my creativity in many different ways, I am a full-time artist and I love what I do. For me there is not much of “I’d rather be” because I try to create art every day! I am a watercolor painter, an illustrator and jewelry designer, I love photography and digital photo manipulations. I also like to write poems, haiku and short stories.
My watercolor painting series are all available in Limited Edition Signed Fine Art Prints.
This is me on the beach in action with my camera trying to capture the moment…
This is one of my photos I love the ocean, sunsets and stormy skies
I love to create photo manipulations and I have created a Collection titled “When Nature Meets Humans” this Portrait title is “Proud” I like the Concept to mix Nature with Humans and create a unique One of a kind Digital Portraits. This is my evolving idea and concept to combining the beauty of Nature with Humans telling a story in the form of Visual-Art, combining and blending a number of different photos in one unique portrait. Each photo has a meaning that tell the Portrait story. You can see more of this collection here and in this Gallery.
Nature is my biggest inspiration in everything I create…
I also love to create jewelry for my “Among Nature” Jewelry Collection.
The nature is my greatest inspiration for my Jewelry Designs. I often use found in nature objects hand-picked by me in special places I visit. All my creations are made using only beautiful natural gemstones, seashells, fossils, woods, bone and crystals which I combine with precious and semi precious metals.
Sometimes I write when words are whispered to my soul…this is one of my poems
Hands
Artist precious hands,
intensity and love givers.
Hands guided by a heart pulse,
forging and hammering metals,
holding precious stones.
Inspiration from the soul,
happiness and art givers,
emotions in a motion of senses.
stroking brushes fulfilled with passion,
dripping water on white paper,
splashes of colors take forms.
Ink tears into the unknown
a creation is born.

My interview with Music Composer and independent Artist James Radcliffe.
I am so happy and grateful that I was able to do this Interview!
Today I am very pleased to introduce you with James Radcliffe a wonderful multi talented Artist, a dear friend from the music world and part of our community. James is an independent artist a music composer from the beautiful land of Scotland.
Thank you James for your precious time doing this interview with me. I love to give the opportunity to get to know you and your art.
Let’s start with the questions:
For the reader that doesn’t know you and your music, can you please introduce who is James Radcliffe?
I am an independent artist based in Edinburgh Scotland. I make music, I write, I take photographs and perform live. In the last 4 years or so, I have built a grassroots social media following in excess of 100’000 people. This is what allows me to make art as a living.
Your music has a very distinctive sound and style, when listening it brings you in far away places, almost out of this world. Can you describe your creative process and what prompt inspire you while creating? And how do you categorize your genre?
First, thank you very much, I take this as a great compliment. It is hard to nail down a creative process, as much of it is a mystery. I will say though, that there are two main phases: the creative phase and the craft phase. The work is usually born from a kind of state of mind which is outside of time, when I am fully absorbed. The craft is where I take the pieces of rock and polish them into something beautiful. I cycle back and forth between these two until the work is finished.
You just released your new beautiful and fantastic Album ” Murder The Impossible” can you tell us your feelings and meanings behind it?
Murder the Impossible was a collection of tracks that I worked on in a very specific way in the studio. It took me over a year to get them right. Each of the tracks was aimed at a specific feeling, for example, the first track ‘World Enough and Time’ was aimed at the feeling of ecstasy I get from truly great music. One of the reasons it took me so long, is because I played all the instruments, including the cello, and did all of the studio work.
What is your creative Dream Project?
The thing that I am working on right now. One of the great things about being independent is that you get to choose exactly what you want to work on.
What is happening at the moment? Are you working on any new ideas? Do you have in plan for any live gig?
A lot of stuff is happening right now. I am generally always working, on new ideas and current work. I think I am going to do something quite exciting and new for my next project, which I may release quite soon. I am also playing with the idea of taking all my music off the internet.
Live performance will definitely be happening soon. And I am looking into touring options as we speak.
This question is very personal and introspective, I love to ask this to artists. If you describe or picture your inner soul, how will you describe it? And what color it would be?
Like a roiling ocean. And black. Black as strong coffee.
